Why these headlines are invented
The obvious way to build this exercise is to mix real headlines with fabricated ones attributed to real outlets. We will not do that. A convincing fake headline carrying a real publisher's name is exactly the artefact this site exists to oppose, and it would outlive this page the moment someone screenshots it.
So both headlines in every pair are invented, neither is attributed to anyone, and they describe fictional local events. The skill being tested is identical: spot the missing denominator, the unverifiable screenshot, the loaded verb, the self-selected sample.
